Forrister Posts 22nd at Atlanta Motor Speedway after Early Race Incident

Start: 17th

Finish: 22nd

IMG_3507Korbin Forrister piloting the No. 5 Advanced Medical Laboratories Wauters Motorsports Toyota Tundra posted a 22nd place finish in the running of the Active Pest Control 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Atlanta Motor Speedway Saturday afternoon.

The Cedartown, GA native was clipped on lap two of the 130 lap event by another driver that spun and turned down into Forrister’s truck.  The Wauters Motorsports driver came down pit road several times to repair the damage to the right side of the truck.

Forrister was able to continue but the damage forced him out of the contention for the win relegating him to a 22nd place finish in the Active Pest Control 200.

“We had a hot rod all weekend but unfortunately got caught up in lap 2 accident,”  Korbin Forrister said.  This Wauters Motorsports team worked hard and got it back together and we salvaged a 22nd place finish.  I can’t thank the guys and our sponsors enough.”

The NCWTS is on hiatus until April 1st where the teams will race at Martinsville Speedway.
