Pensacola, FL (November 29, 2016) –Noah Gragson will attempt make his second start in the famed 49th Annual Snowball Derby at 5 Flags Speedway Sunday, December 4th. The 18-year-old, Las Vegas, NV resident will pilot the No. 5 SPEEDVEGAS / AlertID Toyota Camry Super Late Model (SLM) car for Wauters Motorsports in the 300 lap race on the ½-mile Pensacola, Florida track.
“We are excited to be running at this year’s Snowball Derby with Richie Wauters and crew,” Noah Gragson said. “The competition is always tough there and we are looking forward to showcasing our Wauters prepared Toyota, as they always bring great equipment to the track. I’m excited for our 2017 NCWTS with KBM (Kyle Busch Motorsports) and finishing 2016 at the Snowball Derby with a win would really put a cap on our season. The competition is the best of the best, so this is a race that we always circle on the calendar as one that we want to do well there.”
The 49th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off with the Cat Country/WEAR-TV3 Green Flag Party Wednesday night. On-track activities start Thursday, December 1st, for the opening practice rounds for the Snowball Derby SLM cars. Qualifying for the Snowball Derby will be Friday, December 2nd.
Saturday’s SLM action features the 50-lap last chance event for Snowball Derby drivers to make one last effort to qualify for the 300-lap SLM race.
The green flag is set to drop for the 49th Annual Snowball Derby Sunday, December 4th at 2:00pm CT at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL.
